Hi everyone! Our mom is a slacker. She's too busy these days to post on her blog. We wouldn't be surprised if you guys gave up on her completely. But you can see some cute pictures of us doing Christmas stuff here if you want.

(There is absolutely no substitution on the planet for plump piggy toes.)Normally at this time of the year I have already baked about 6 kinds of cookies. This year I have baked none. I have made some White Trash and some other candy for Scott's family Christmas party tonight. I feel like a negligent mother bc by the time I get home from work, start laundry, cook dinner, and we get the monkeys in bed, I have no energy whatsoever. Scott can't believe I can actually fall asleep at 7:30. ("um, your child is sucking every last drop of energy out of my body, buddy, so buzz off.")I also normally take great pride in decorating my house for Christmas but this year I've just slapped a few things around and called it a day. My mom helped me do the tree and the mantel. If it weren't for her it would probably still all be bare. Don't get me wrong I really do WANT to bake and decorate and fa-la-la-la-la, and during the day I think about all the great things I'm gonna do when I get home, but alas, it never comes to fruition. Hopefully when school gets out and I'm home all day I can get some stuff done. So, last week it hits me that I haven't even thought about the girls' pictures for Christmas cards. I always take them to Sears in Nov and get a picture taken then Echo makes the cards for me. So that very day after dinner I bathed them, put their Christmas dresses on, said a little prayer, and plopped em in front of the tree. No, they're nowhere near Sears quality but they're gonna have to do for this year. Forgive me please fellow bloggers, for the recent non-visitation. It's all I can do to stay upright these days.
silly Christmas giggles.
