Aaaah, spring. No, not really, but here in Monkeyville, we got a few rays of golden goodness Friday morning- just warm enough to bundle up and take to the playyard for some longawaited frolicking and general romping involving ride-on toys, sand, playhouses, plastic sliding boards, and of course, mud.The monkeys took advantage of a few brief hours of sunshine to romp outside with their bud the Gavinator.

Hannah (left) went for the plastic bananas from the kitchen in their playhouse, of course, as she is a monkey of the highest order. Gaity ensued and the young homo sapiens took to the traditional games of "That's my toy give it back" and "No you can't play in my sandbox." A good time was had by all. Now it's back to ice cold air and yes, I saw a few snowflakes this morning.

Hey God, come on, there's only so much containment us mothers can take before we start getting a little wacky from cabin fever and too many Barney and Elmo DVDs played ad nauseum. Please Big Guy, cut us a break and let's see some more good rays here to stay!
